About
Merab Buliskiria, 26 years old
I was born in Switzerland, a country that influenced my personality and inner world from a very early age. However, at the age of one, my parents decided to move to Tbilisi, where I grew up and where my identity was forged. I lived there until the end of my first year of university, before moving to Paris, where I currently live and work. This is where my life as a painter truly began. Paris offered me the opportunity to fully explore and experience everything this city represents for art and everything it brings to it.
My Georgian identity, with its rich, complex, and diverse history, has given me a broader perception of the world since childhood. Georgia's position at the crossroads of Europe and Asia is a testament to its history, deeply marked by exchanges

This identity naturally blended into the artistic and cultural atmosphere of Paris, where art history is omnipresent and ever-present. My Parisian journey has nourished my personal development and established itself as a key source of inspiration in my creative process. My pictorial work is the expression of my inner self, an exploration of the links between my subconscious, my personal unconscious, world history, contemporary events, and the collective unconscious.
My creative process is based on an empirical approach: images and visions take shape in my mind around a specific concept. They remain there until I transpose them onto canvas, adding the final elements—symbols, colors, or objects—that translate an idea, a story, or an emotion. My work thus mirrors the evolution of my inner being.
It is through this artistic quest that I found – and continue to seek – my place in this world.
cultural exchanges with diverse peoples. As the son of one of the oldest civilizations, I carry within me the heritage of my country, written in my DNA.
